I am afraid, most of the bad behaviour comes from people who don't bother or even know about the forum, so such discussions don't reach them directly.
But hopefully, it encourages members and performers alike to bring the message of chat etiquette with some patience to the uninitiated, greys, troublemakers etc.
That is, when you have "good" visitors in your room you won't stand alone against a rude move.
And such discussions give some helpful advice how to react (if at all) to the rude and reckless. Quote

01 -- No repetitive begging
02 -- Caps off please
03 -- No promoting of a different site
04 -- No promoting another model off the site
05 -- Only talk about another model if mentioned by performer 1st
06 -- The most important person in a room is the performer
07 -- No means NO - not Maybe
08 -- For the most part English is primary language used in rooms.
09 -- Speak to the performers how you like to be spoken to.
10 -- Show the models respect.
11 -- No fighting of you don't agree with someones views on stuff.
12 -- If you want to get off to a model - do it in PVT !
13 -- All of the above rules are for when a performer is in open AND private.
14 -- If you cant afford pvt - say so!!
15 -- Any tip that is NOT in bright pink is a false tip.

While I agree this is a good idea Suggs
I do not think it will do a lot of good, because of all the beggars that are on the site now???
I wish it would, but the beggars are not going to read the forums on here?
All they want is a freebies at the expense of paying members???
Until the site does something about it things will not change???
I for one do hardly tip anymore in open chat and or party chat because of the beggars or I just leave the room because it's not fun anymore, and in turn it hurts the hard working models that work on here!
In turn I do not buy as much credits anymore that does not help the site either??
I do not understand why the site caters to the beggars more than a long time paying member on here??????
I sure hope they do something but I doubt it lol!
We shall see?

Everything you said is correct, but unfortunately there are undesirables that can ruin the mood in a room with insensitive comments. It happened in the room i was in this evening. Eventually the performer took a break, but there was know way she was coming back. And i could not blame her. the unsavoury comment was whispered, so no one saw it or came to her defence which was a pity.

While I agree with kuzman that the people who need to be taught (reminded of?) some manners are probably not reading the forums, raising awareness about what models could and should do about rude behaviour in their rooms AND what members who wish to support a model can do to uplift the atmosphere in a room is of the same importance.
It is good for newbies (members and models) to see that
[i] there is support from the member's side and not all members are trolls, Neanderthals, beggars or cunning rascals, (you are not alone, we all prefer to have good fun times!)
[ii] it can give guidelines for new members for them to avoid pitfalls and be it by simply not being annoying (pleeeeeaaaasee, it's my biiiirthday)
and
[iii] it can show models what are the best steps to take when a troublemaker comes in ( silence and eject as often as you like, ban if there is no other remedy).
[iv] talking about and discussing what should be "best practice" helps to create a better understanding of models' AND members' needs and can thus only help to improve our experience on the long run.
Also, you get to know the good guys on the forum . Quote
I've seen a few new models do this - they go into a top 5 or 10 model's room and announce (with their model name as screen name) "Hey I'm online and naked - and only 10 cpm" Nothing like starting your career as a webcam model off on the right foot. The top models worked hard to get their fans. There are no shortcuts. Work your butt off - give your fans the best shows you can. WATCH other models and see what they do. BUT DON'T PROMOTE YOURSELF in another model's room.

Well Chris thanks!
You know how I feel about this in many Forums
You put it well said!
You take the words and say it right!
I do not really say to much in these Forums but, lately on here why not?
Live and let live I say
Maybe saying something will change what they think around here??
I know it may not be the best or they will change things
But I agree with you have to say something? lol
Because I would NEVER I mean NEVER talk to models they way some people on here talk!!!
Hope to catch you in a room sometime and we can get a REAL old school party chat going!!!!!
peace

That's not open chat etiquette, but you ARE right about this. I have rarely received a message from an unknown model or one at least that I had never visited before, that made me wanna go and have a look.
Most of these "invitations" seem desperate and invasive and some are downright rude in their wording.
In the end, we come here as visitors and WE choose which models' personality (I am tempted to say ESP) suits us and our desires and needs the most. You cannot f0rce sympathy! Quote

Treat the model like a full person. Everybody asks her to show her ass or tits. If you do it, you're just like everybody else.
Try to compliment the model on something OTHER than her tits and ass...unless she's really trying to show you how nice her ass is. That's okay then.
Everybody likes a good joke. Don't take yourself too seriously.
DON'T SCREAM
Use /WHISPER to avoid conflicts and discuss personal arrangements before private. Do not use it to just talk to the model. It makes the room look dead.
Don't wank in open chat. Seriously. That's just lame.
Don't wank in open chat, then take the girl private for 30 seconds to finish off.
Don't take a girl private with 'scared money'. This site isn't worth going broke for.
Don't try to get the model to do something she doesn't want to do or is not physically able to do. You are not an 'anal trainer' or a 'squirt professional'. No means no.
A lot of models are willing to do special requests. If you set up an appointment with a model and ask for something specific, do your best not to flake, and if you do miss your appointment, write an apology ASAP.
If somebody flakes on a model, and you have enough money for a private show. Take the model, and see what the other guy is missing. She'll appreciate it, and you might discover a new fetish to enjoy! :D
A good private is always at least 20 minutes. It's long enough, usually, for the model to cum and for you to really enjoy the full range of what the model enjoys doing.
TALK TO THE MODEL WHEN YOU'RE IN PRIVATE. It's not that hard to wank and type. A little frustrating, yes, but not hard. The ladies love feedback and they want to make sure you're enjoying the show!
Don't start talking dirty in open chat unless you're ready to take the model private. (I call this the 'shooting blanks' rule.)
Say 'Thank you' after a private. Even though these girls do this for a job, they are sharing something very personal with you. A thank you always goes a long way.
Thank you, really wish these rules were followed... Quote

Bumping this after an arsehole came into a room I spend a lot of time in and directly told me to not waste money on her but visit a model he named instead. Quote

1 -- No begging :- This goes without saying, by all means ask a question ONCE and if performer declines dont just repeat the same thing over and over again.
2 -- Caps off please :- this is net chat equivalent of shouting at top of your voice and is not welcome
3 -- No promoting of a different site :- Do I need to even explain why this is so wrong?
4 -- No coming into a performers room to promote another performer off this site.
5 -- No discussing another performer UNLESS the model whose room you are in mentions them 1st.
6 -- The most important person in a room is the performer :- This one goes to all the ppl that come in and try to chat up any of the chatters.
7 -- When a performer says no to something it does not mean ask me again in 10 seconds and i will say yes
8 -- For the most part the performers speak / type in English to a varying degree.
9 -- A rule of thumb i follow is speak to the performers the exact same way that you would want any1 to speak to you - show the correct respect and manners and you will be fine.
10 -- All of the above rules are for when a performer is in open AND private :- Just because a customer has taken performer pvt does not give any1 carte blance to start being abusive, promoting another performer etc,
If every1 reads and tries to go by these simple 10 pointers the site will flow with a better movement than it has been recently where the idiots have seemongly ran amok.
*** If anyone else has any more guieslines for chat netiquette please dont hesitate to post ***
11 - show the models respect.
And if the model says no. "NO MEANS NO"
12 - No fighting with one another! I'm not talking about if some eejit comes in and starts insulting the model and all her fans spring to her defence; that's actually pretty sweet. I'm talking about picking fights with another member just for the sake of fighting - over football, politics, even the other person's username. DON'T DO IT. If a member says something you don't like, politely disagree with him and then ignore it. IGNORE it. Don't start a big macho testosterone-fuelled slanging match and keep whispering to the performer: "I'm sorry but HE started it". Be the bigger person and don't respond
