Hey F4F this problem does not seem to be going away. and it is really beginning to be very annoying. You are talking with model you loose connection it takes a long time to reconnect properly and by that time model is busy with someone else. I am realistic the models are not going to give there time to someone that keeps disappearing due to bad connection.
I know you are trying to get this problem sorted.

We're still working to improve the situation on the broadcast end. You're losing connection because the model lost connection first which interrupts her stream. This is something that has always happened but occurs much more often lately.

While it's probably not relevant to the comment I'm quoting we've made a pretty big improvement on the problem connecting to chat where you'd be relocated to another room (which might also fail). We continue to take all problems seriously and thank you for your patience.

I can understand losing connection if the model does first. But is that the case when the model can be in the middle of a party & keep receivng tips @ having conversations while I have a black screen & takes me 5-10 min to establish connection with any model?

I have to agree , it is getting frustrating loosing connection and reloading .I spent sometime today just trying to stay connected in some of the models rooms, and because of this I am not getting my recordings . Was in a private with model and finally gave up , got kicked out or reloaded 5 times ...

Seems there is STILL problems with the video feeds from some rooms. In summer wrens room and twice in less than 10 minutes the video reset and all I got was the red boc of doom with the following message...

"Error
Unable to connect to the video server. Please try refreshing the page."

Only way i could even see the room was mashing the F5 button.

Getting beyond a joke!

The biggest issue I have is freezing in free chat which makes me reluctant to do a private session. Most of the other issues I complained about a couple months ago, such as logging on and moving from room to room and long buffering time, have been resolved.

Anyone who has been following this thread knows that there are two distinct types of error being reported here.
1) Unable to connect to a chat room (which used to relocate you to another room and now reloads the same room)
2) Unable to connect to a video stream (which may happen as soon as you join a room or intermittently after the video worked for some period of time)

We've made progress on both of these fronts despite shooting ourselves in the foot a couple of times as early as this morning.

Connecting to chat rooms should be much more reliable now. There was a network event that occurred this morning that might cause some of you to disagree but, on the whole, our data indicates a sizable improvement over the last couple of weeks.

Streaming live video has improved in a couple of different ways. I mentioned a couple of posts back that we had identified a flaw in our broadcasting software and we've finally had an opportunity to release this update to performers. Even with only ~40% of performers using the new broadcaster we're seeing much more reliable/smoother playback. We also identified an issue not related specifically to the broadcast software that was fixed this morning.

I appreciate everyone's patience and candor. We will continue to search for more fixable problems. By no means do I believe we're done here.

I was in a models room last couple of days who had the new application and did not have any disconnect issues so looks much more stable good job.

Still, if the system MUST keep me out, I would rather be "warped" to the homepage than another model's room who I had no intention of visiting, to begin with.
I agree. I like to choose who I visit and if you can't get me to that room then I would prefer f4f redirect me to the homepage. Its embarrassing when you tell a girl you will never see her here again (and you also block her from email) next thing you know, your in her room.

Check with the model and see if they have updated their application I have been in rooms that have the update and have defiantly seen a marked improvement. But one model (on LCM) said they had updated but was still getting disconnects, reloads, and the red box of death. Also another model said they got errors when they tried to update their application. So some may not be able to apply it.

I couldn't agree more, it's not only annoying to be bounced to a random model's room but kinda rude to to the model when you leave as soon as you show up, because you had no intention of visiting in the first place.

Can you please let us know which problem? Random chat disconnects or video playback?

I'm aware of an issue with some video playback that was going on yesterday and may have trickled over until earlier today. There were a variety of things going wrong with networking last week but I'm told we're in the clear currently.

Also seems to be creeping in again. Some private shows it's cost me more than a minute with the "reloading" spinner at the start of the pvt.
I have seen it a lot from the Russian studios. When you click to start the pvt show, the screen transitions to the "pvt view" and the video stream shows the "loading" messages (cycling between "Loading" and "Contacting Server". Sometimes it resolves and the video appears after about 15-20 seconds. Other times Refresh Video click is needed, and even that takes some time.
Once in a while there's a complete disconnect but that's only happened twice by my count.
